We're introducing IP Address as a new system attribute in Supaship's feature targeting engine - giving you more precise control over how and where your features roll out.

This update adds flexible IP-matching options that fit real-world deployment needs, security workflows, and internal rollouts.

Targeting UI with IP targeting

What's new?

Supaship now supports multiple IP formats:

  • CIDR Notation - target entire subnets: 192.168.1.0/24
  • Hyphenated Ranges - ideal for controlled environments: 192.168.1.1–192.168.1.100
  • Wildcard Matching - broad matching without complex rules: 192.168.1.*
  • Direct IP Matching - enable or restrict features for a single precise IP
  • IPv4 and IPv6 - both address families supported for modern infrastructure

Common uses

IP-based targeting is particularly useful for:

  • Internal rollouts - enable a feature only for your office or VPN IP range before going public
  • Staged infrastructure testing - target specific servers or data centre subnets
  • Security controls - restrict sensitive admin features to known IP ranges

Start using it today

IP-based targeting is available to all Supaship users now. Combine it with country, browser, device, OS, and other attributes to create precise, controlled rollouts.
